About Us

Sugah Cakes Bakery began in 2010 with a whole lot of sugar and a passion for baking. Melissa Bearden, owner of Sugah Cakes, has had a passion for baking her whole life and knew she wanted to spend her days in the kitchen doing what she does best. 

Melissa started operating out of Home and Garden Classics' commercial kitchen making cupcakes, cakes, and cookies. In 2013 she began creating custom sugar cookies for special events, parties, and holidays. She quickly realized that these custom cookies were in high demand! Her custom sugar cookies are now one of her favorite goodies that she makes because they allow her to be creative, and to collaborate with customers on their ideas.

Now, Sugah Cakes offers a variety of sweet treats! You can order online, stop into our local bakery, call to place a special order, or see us around town in our one-of-a-kind Cupcake Bus! We love seeing happy customers, so stop in and say hello today!
